Popularity of Cincinnati Tickets

Many fans who enjoy the sport of baseball have purchased Cincinnati tickets. There are many reasons why Cincinnati tickets are so popular with fans.  One reason why fans choose to purchase Cincinnati tickets is the Reds' long-standing history in Major League baseball.

Cincinnati ticket holders have been able to see the team play baseball since their inception into the league in 1882; however, Cincinnati ticket holders have not always heard the team referred to as the Reds.  In the beginning, the team was known by different names including the Cincinnati Red Stockings and the Cincinnati Redlegs.  It would not be until 1958 that the team would permanently receive the name of the Cincinnati Reds.

With the team's long history, it makes sense that they would have played in different stadiums.  The Cincinnati Reds have played the game of baseball at Bank Street Grounds, League Park, Crosley Field, Riverfront Stadium and the Great American Ball Park.

Throughout their long history in baseball, the Cincinnati Reds have won many titles including five World Series titles (one of their wins being against the New York Yankees), nine National League Pennants, one AA Pennant, one Central Division title and seven West Division titles.  Along with the team's outstanding accomplishments, there have been many individual players who have received recognition for their accomplishments on the field.

There have been many individual players inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame based on their performance on the field while wearing a Cincinnati Reds uniform.  Some of the players inducted into the Hall of Fame include Jake Beckley, Jim Bottomley, Sam Crawford, Buck Ewing, Ernie Lombardi, Bid McPhee, Tony Perez, Edd Roush and Tom Seaver.
