Many people would probably say “where?”
with a questioning look if you told them you were from San Angelo, Texas. However, the Los Lonely Boys have gone a long
way and has helped San Angelo shine from the
dust of West Texas. Just south of Lubbock, the Los Lonely Boys
Lonely Boys concert tickets) began when three brothers, Henry, Jojo
and Ringo Garza, followed in the footsteps of their father playing conjunto
music.
Moving to Nashville in the 90s, the band
emerged, but did not record their debut album until 2003 when they recorded at
Willie Nelson’s Pedernales recording studio in Austin and Los Lonely Boys
tickets became hot items. The
groups single, “Heaven” reached number one on the adult contemporary chart and
made it to number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song even crossed over to the Hot Country Songs chart. In 2005, the group won a Grammy for Best Pop
Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
This award sparked a series of events that the Los Lonely Boys will
never forget. In 2005, they were also able
to record “I Don’t Wanna Lose Your Love” with Santana for the album “All That I
Am.”
Los Lonely Boys have a unique sound. They blend electric blues with their Texas roots, which then
blends with soulful grooves and good old rock and roll. The Los Lonely Boys’ music features a little
bit of everything but with the six string and Latin beats always making an
appearance. It’s something they call
"Texican Style" They describe
their music as a combination of everything that they have learned from their
conjunto roots in their father to Richie Valens, Willie Nelson and Stevie Ray
Vaugh.
