Popularity of NY Mets Tickets

The NY Mets are a professional baseball team located in Flushing, Queens in New York City, New York.  The NY Mets are a member of the Eastern Division of the National League.  Fans with NY Mets tickets have always known the team to be referred to as the Mets; however, NY Mets ticket holders have given the team several nicknames over the years including the Amazin' Mets, the Amazins, the Metropolitans and the Kings of Queens.

Throughout their existence in Major League baseball, the Mets have played at two different stadiums. NY Mets ticket holders have seen the team play at the Polo Grounds and currently at Shea Stadium; however, NY Mets ticket holders will be able to see the team play in a brand new stadium in 2009.

Fans with NY Mets tickets have already seen the team win some amazing titles.  The NY Mets have won two World Series titles, four National League Pennants, five East Division titles and two Wild Card berths to the playoffs.  The NY Mets have also had several players who have been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Some of the players inducted into the Hall of Fame include Gary Carter, Tom Seaver (he is the only player inducted as a Met), Richie Ashburn, Yogi Berra (who also played for the New York Yankees),  Willie Mays, Eddie Murray, Nolan Ryan, Duke Snider, Warren Spahn and Casey Stengel.

Tom Seaver has also won many other awards throughout his career.  His number has been retired by the Mets and he is also the only player to have ever played for the Mets to be named Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year.

SuperStarTickets.com offers a variety of concert tickets, sporting event tickets and theater tickets. You can find tickets to all of the events you want to see and at an affordable price.
