Award nominations and won nine of
them. The production also won the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. During its
original production run, the show had 6,137 performances on Broadway, where it
became the longest running show at the time. It also achieved worldwide
successful productions and returned to Broadway in 2006. Unlike the original,
the revival received two Tony
Award nominations but no wins. A
